Apple Stock is like iPhone

What the picture says is that Apple stock doubled between '85 and '95 and then again between '95 and '05. What happened with Apple stock in the last five years makes a) many of us speachless and b) Steve Jobs excessively rich. (sorry, I need to figure out how to embed the pic here, it seems 9gag is blocking it so the only way for you to see it properly is to click the above link...)

Marketing is like Physics

Although I hear there is a bit of controversy over TED, most of the presentations I have seen I really liked. The mere fact that speakers can in 10 minutes convey their message in a convincing way is nothing short of impressive. Most of other presentations I see are long, dull, and boring and speakers often cannot get the buy-in from the audience even after hour-long speech and 50-60 PowerPoint slides later. But that is a different topic altogether.

This blog is about analogies, so here is one about what marketing and physics have in common.
